Poverty eradication

What seems utopian is actually logic. Sharing the wealth many people come out of trouble. L

Poverty is a scourge that is the cause of many evils. The basic needs are not met and cause health problems.

Everyone has the right to have a good quality of life, work, have a roof, and leisure and making friends.

my responsibility to do my part to improve humanity through my smile, my actions and my attitude to help people out of loneliness.

a rent increase in homes for the elderly

"The services and accessories shall be subject to the same rules as those applicable to housing they are contained in the lease itself or in a separate contract, verbal or written. [...] The rent of residential accommodation includes all services offered by the landlord and the rent is. [...] The landlord can not do a distinction between columns 1 and 2 of Schedule to the lease because they produce exactly the same effect as regards the imposition of ancillary items and services from 1892 to 2000 CCQ The only difference between these two columns the distribution of amounts for various services included. Everything that appears in column 2 of Schedule forms part of the lease as well as the élémetns of column 1. "(From Manor during the Atrium & Belanger v., [2009] No. AZ-50608514 (RL).

In other words, column 1 for services that are included in the rent specified in lease. Column 2 applies to services that are not included in the rent, that is what is known as additional rent. However, as confirmed by case law in this regard, the two columns are part of the lease the same securities. What is written in the Annexes (columns 1 and 2), such as services and accessories are part of the cost of rent. So the criteria for fixing the rent established by the Régie apply to the total cost of rent, including the annexes. Moreover, sections 1892 to 2000 CCQ develop the rules applicable to the lease of a dwelling specifically and all that goes with it.

To check whether the increase is not too high, I Calls to do the math: http://www.rdl.gouv.qc.ca/fr/calcul/calcul2010.asp. The committee to help tenants is here to help you with this calculation.

If you find that your rent is too high, you have the right to refuse the proposed increase.

- Lease under 12 months: Between 1 and 2 months before the end of the lease;

- Lease of a room in time fixed or indefinite period: Between 10 and 20 days before the end of the lease term fixed for the lease of indefinite duration, that is before the date the change is desired.

It is very important to know that there can be only one rent increase per 12 months.

Response tenant
- Accept the increase;
- Moving to meet the owner, by registered mail, within one month after receipt of the notice;
- Deny sending a notice by registered mail within one month after receipt of the notice. * If

- In the month of the refusal, the owner may apply to the Régie that it set the rent according to its criteria;
- The owner may try to negotiate. Do not sign anything immediately.
- The landlord can not evict you for the reason that you refuse the increase.

Women harder hit by the housing shortage

This text comes from http://fr.canoe.ca/infos/quebeccanada/archives/2010/10/20101004-130407.html?sms_ss=email&at_xt=4caa12f6e1d18148, 0

Women have more difficulty in finding housing in the city of Quebec than men, according to a document released Monday by the People's Action Front on Urban Redevelopment (FRAPRU).

According to the survey, women are doubly affected by the consequences of the shortage of rental housing that affects the city for nearly a decade.

"More poor to afford housing rare, women are more likely to spend an exorbitant share of their income on housing. This is the case of four women in ten renters, "said organizer to FRAPRU, Véronique Laflamme, who recalls that since 2000, the cost of housing has skyrocketed, from 30.5% in Quebec.

The scarcity of housing in the area is also conducive to the discrimination suffered by particular mothers, immigrants and people receiving social assistance.

The shortage would also have effects on women victims of domestic violence, which must continue to suffer violence because they can move.

Furthermore, women who live in shelters can not get out because they do not find adequate housing at a reasonable price.

At Quebec as elsewhere, several women tenants struggle to make ends meet. More than 23,105 renter households (39.5%) whose main income earner is a woman, spend more than the standard 30% of their income on housing.

To meet the most urgent needs, FRAPRU estimated 50 000 new social housing should be built within five years.
